ACADPAN "Pan Button" to be set to RESET?

I have another question about acadpan.

I have been subjected to work on projecwise and the administrator(s) have just set up the managed workspace and walked away leaving us to tough it out. I managed to get around some of the barriers that have been set up.

One thing I'd like to know. is there some place that I can setup the "Pan Button" to be set to RESET?

Meaning once I load acadpan/dialog the "Pan Button" starts off at TENTATIVE and I would like it to start off at RESET.

Is this possible?

Thanks

  • If you type:

    acadpan dialog

it opens a small dialog box with the few settings available. The topmost is Pan Button - which can be set to Tentative, Reset or Cursor 1-13.

FYI: Pan Delay is in number of pixels. We keep it set to 20, which means you must move 20 pixels before ACADPAN switches into Pan Mode. Any less and it never activates, letting the button do its normal thing.

When you move on, the reset button can also bring up a right click menu. ACADPAN set to Reset does not play well with a right click menu.

When you move on, MicroStation does add its own pan mode, but you can have pan or tentative middle button with the native pan. We keep the middle button at tentative, still load ACADPAN, but also remap the default native pan to the two button chord. Sometimes, the native pan is better than ACADPAN, but usually, hving tentative and ACADPAN on the middle button works best.

  • Thanks again caddcop, I wasn't clear I think.

I knew about the acadpan dialog but what I was asking about was...when the dialog box opens the default (at least for me) setting starts off with Tentative. What I was looking for was a way for the default setting to start off with Reset instead of Tentative.

The key-in I have is: mdl load acadpan;acadpan dialog, I know it's a small thing but I have to load mdls I am use to EVERY time I start projectwise which happens multiple times a day.

    Thanks again
