Does anyone know if the iPad is able to view 3D pdf files? If not, is there some way to read and use U3D files?
Thanks in advance!
Paul
Hmm, strange title blunder! How do I fix that?

Paul,
I haven't found one yet.
The only 3D viewer apps I'm aware of are
iRhino 3D (Rhino Viewer)
TurboViewer (DWG & DXF)
Inventor Publisher Mobile Viewer (Files created with Inventor Publisher)
Thanks, I'll give TurboViewer a try and report how it turns out.
Is there any chance that Bentley might update View for the iPad?
I see there is already a version for Windows XP Tablet PC Edition.
Right, I've checked out TurboViewer on the iPad and it works a treat! The only problem I have at the moment is that it only displays wireframe. When I save a 3D dgn file as a dwg file, it looses all attached materials. Is there any way of saving a dwg file with the materials attached / imbedded?
My company design, build and install bespoke spiral and helical staircases, which often lack impact when presented in 2d (plan & elevation). We would like to use the iPad to pass around to clients and architects during design meetings, in order to display 3d concepts of our staircases which can be rotated and zoomed in on. Could be an excellent deal clincher!
You might try the vis group to see what file formats materials transfer to.
Rhino has a dgn importer and has trial version you could use to save as 3DM. You might want to give that a try.
