With thanks to Peter Terrat for sharing these excellent macros. One is used for turning the fill display on/off, while the other is used to set the active fill type back to none. How can you live without them?
Download 251.zip and extract prj_FillToggles.mvba from the zip file.Place the mvba in the folder pointed to by MS_VBASEARCHDIRECTORIES.Keyin vba load prj_FillToggles to load the project, or...Configure MS_VBAAUTOLOADPROJECTS to automatically load the mvba project upon startup.Keyin vba run ToggleFillSetting to run the fill toggle macro and vba run ToggleActiveFill to set the active fill. Alternativly, Place these two keyins on a couople of function keys or custom button for quick and easy access.
The ToggleFillSetting macro will toggle the display of the fill on and off as seen in the animation below. It will also report the fill display status in the Message Center:
The ToggleActiveFill macro will change your active fill to None when it's been to Opaque or Outlined in any element placement or modification tool. Again, it will display the status of the Active Fill in the Message Center.
