The University of Maine - CAD Camp 2008  - July 6 to July 11

I've posted a few images so far from this past CAD Camp at the University of Maine in Orono. Due to the economy, our numbers were down a bit. We had 28 campers. Overall, it was a great success.

Thanks go to our sponsors, BENTLEY, Maine DOT and  Bath Iron Works were the main camp sponsors. All the campers received some form of financial scholarship support from these sponsors.

This years theme was ' My space'. An exercise in creating thier own room either existing or imaginary. Most chose to create thier perfect bedroom with posters, beds, desks, chairs.....gargoyles, space invaders, automobiles, etc.

After instructing them on the creation of the space and holding off as long as possible, we introduced them to 3D Warehouse. It was a 'free for all' from that point till the end of the week.

Fortunately, Powerdraft also offers the 3d Warehouse options, so we think the software will get some extended use at home.

 Thumbs up from everybody here and an extra thanks to Bentley, Scott Lofgren, Dr. Laura and Ed Wright for scrounging up some BE t-shirts and hats for the gang.

Looking forward to next year and hopefully a better economy
