How can I get the Overbuild Quantity to be reported in TONs?
The reports from the roadway designer are hard coded in a “xsl"style file. All units in this report are in feet, square feet and cubic feet.
WE ARE CURRENTLY LEARNING HOW TO CUSTOMIZE THESE.
1. Run the Component Quantities command from within Roadway Designer and generate a report from this command. The report will only show stations processed up to the current station. In order to get all the values a Process All must be run, and current station should be set to the last station of the corridor.
2. Save the report generated as an Excel format file
3. Add a formula in the Excel table to convert the volume quantity, use the following conversions.
Tons = ((CF /27)*36*110)/2000 or Tons = (CY*36*110)/2000

Correction: The volume units in the Component Quantities report can be CYs if the Civil Report Browser>Tools>Format Options dialog is set to Convert to Cubic Yards
