I had some terrains for a sidewalk that were not updating when I would update the elements they were created from. That was the first strange thing. Then, I used project explored to delete these terrains, but the surface templates applied to them still remain. I cannot figure out any way to delete them. I can select them and change the level they are on, but I cannot delete them.
How should I proceed?
Thanks
Im not sure what happened to this file…Its been fine up until today.
As for the surface templates, I changed them to nonplotting elements and then just turned that level off as a workaround.
Now I am trying to update my BSW profile and I opened up the view and the profile no longer had an rules applied to it. So I re-ruled it and now I keep getting a net framework error every time I try to set the profile active.
I then continued working and found out I kept getting this error while trying to fix the detail modeling for my sidewalk connection. From what I can tell, some of the elements in this detail model were corrupt and were creating these error to occur. I removed all the elements and recreated the detail model.
My BSW profile was referencing the back of curb line profile, which was projected from one of the corrupted lines. Once I replaced the corrupted lines and updated the reference, I was able to store the profile.
I would guess that the original issue is related to these corrupted lines as the terrain models that the surface templates were applied to were created from these lines. I originally use Project Explorer to delete the terrain models, but they did not take the surface templates with them. This must be due to whatever corrupted the elements in the first place.
As of now, setting the leftover surface templates to nonplotting and turning them off should work and I was able to store my profile after fixing the corrupted elements.
