How can you target a 3D element in Corridor Modeling ?

If you want to target 3D line string elements,  you can do it a couple of ways.

Point Control Method 1:  By Alignment with a Horizontal  and Vertical Profile defined.

First store the 3D line element as a Chain.

In order to store a profile from a 3D graphic line in the GPK file.  Use the GEOPAK Existing Ground Profile command.

Select Graphic and Intersect to get it to store the new profile in the GPK file.

Add the new chain and profile to the Geometry list in the Corridro Modeling dialog and Import to the ALG file.

OR AN EASIER METHOD...

Point Control Method 2: By a  FeatureXYZ. If the proposed surface was created with ROADWAY Designer  the feature names are defined point names from your template. A Corridor point would also apply here.

If the surface is in the existing terrain model you will need to know the feature/break line name from survey.

By the way,  you can use the same targets in the end conditions created in the template.
