Overview

This is a straightforward, easy-to-use template for anyone who is creating a TechNote or FAQ (You must be authorized to do so by Bentley's Technical Support group).

Please note that this template provides the correct format for TechNotes and FAQs, but not information on the correct style (i.e. use of headings, graphics, bullet points, etc.) or content. For more information on the body, content, and style, see TechNote and FAQ Template.

Also, make sure you link to your new TechNote or FAQ from the appropriate product page (edit the product page and put your new title in double square brackets). The product pages are listed on Product TechNotes and FAQs.  

How to use this template

  1. Copy the text below
  2. Create your new BE Communities topic
  3. Click in the text box and press Ctrl+V on your keyboard
  4. After you paste it, replace each "XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX" with the appropriate information 

Note: If you follow the instructions above, the pasted text should appear in the text box in the correct format, not the jumble that appears below. If you right-click and "Paste" it might not work (you need to paste as plain text).
