Graduated high school in 1969. Drafted into the Army in 1970. Served in Okinawa/Maryland/Panama.
Graduated from Idustrial Piping design school in Houston in 1978.
Created my first 3d model on the Auto-trol AD-380/GS-100 system in 1979. Yes they had computers back then! It was a simple model of 2 inch pipes reconstructing a scaffold that had collapsed and killed some workers. Also taught CAD drafting for the University of Houston's continuing education course for a summer.
Worked as a piping cad drafter/designer for NPS Automation out of New Jersey.
Designed an Iso program for a Mini-computer for a company out of Baton Rouge. Spent my time traveling the country in a panel truck, setting up the sales display at various shows, i.e. A&E Systems, and putting on demonstrations.
Went back to the Auto-trol system working on CC-80's, (they kind of looked like giant 'ET's' with a monitor that could rise up and down depending on if you were sitting or standing...
And then came the PC. And the rest is history...
