Rande works for the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) as a Technology Support Specialist Advanced (what ever that is). Rande is currently responsible for the training, support and implementation of the NCDOT"s CADD and engineering applications for the western half of North Carolina. Rande has over 21 years of experience in Information Technology, Construction, Bridge and Roadway Engineering with two state departments of transportation and several community colleges. Rande has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from West Virginia Institute of Technology and has made multiple presentations at HEEP area and international meetings and has authored several articles on the use of Information Technology in engineering for several magazines and websites.  recently Rande co-authored a book on MicroStation MX/V8i with Karen Cohen Brown for Stipes Publishings entitled "Understanding Microstation V8 XM in 2D: A Basic Guide FOR XM and V8i Users."
