Have two .pltcfg printer driver configuration files and want to know how they're different? You can inspect the XML properties manually, but that's tedious. You can bring up the Printer Driver Configuration Editor in two separate instances of MicroStation and compare the properties visually, but that's inconvenient. You need an XML differencing tool.
Seach for "XML differencing" on the web and you'll find lots of solutions to this problem. I personally use a program called "ExamXML". It's relatively cheap and does the job nicely. Much better than eyeballing .plt files in notepad, especially when comparing files from different companies that are structured differently.
