Hydrograph-Loads to Manhole or Catch Basin using WaterObjects.NET Tool

Importing Hydrograph-Loads to Manhole and Catch Basin Hydrograph-Load Importer (.zip) Source Data Format (.xls) Introduction The tool, Hydrograph Load importer, is developed with two aspects. First, to ease the input of hydrograph loads to the manhole and catch basins, and second, to demonstrate how a collection field can be manipulated using WaterObjects.NET. Importing hydrograph loads via the ModelBuilder, if doable, will be a pain as it will involve...

Чтобы их изменить, нужно последовательно выполнить две Key-in команды (или соединить их в одну): 1) Обновить схему - ggcaches reload all override ; 2) Обновить элементы - choose all;null;feature reset all;null;choose...

Cоздание пространственной привязки для папок в PW – Spatial Location File (SLF).

The Future of CAD is Spelled PAD!

Time is running fast, or so we imagine. Instead it is space that is changing as always. Because if the Universe stood completely still time will cease to move also and everything would also be dead. Physics or metaphysics? But as living architects, engineers, creators and entrepreneurs we need to look into the Future and to foresee what is coming. What is the future of CAD? CAD, or Computer Aided Design has been around for a while now. We have learned...

    Configuring Microstation

Configuring Microstation seems like a difficult task in the beginning, as Windows users being used to graphical interfaces might miss something. In fact Microstations configuration file based approach in my opinion makes things a lot easier. Many state of the art programs, like the internets most used webserver, Apache, use this approach, and with good reason. Here's how we have done that at NODE . Install Microstation on your PC Starting from...

Free VBA to delete duplicated vertices from elements

A small VBA application to remove unnecessary vertices from line strings and shapes. Other part of the element remains the same. Fell FREE to use it! (No other hidden functions in the macro) Tested on Bentley PowerCivil v8i The problem: the shape (or line string) contains neighbouring vertices at the same coordinates. When you select the element and put the mouse over the vertex, there are more than one "Handle" item at the same location...

    GUI proposal #2 / Architecture

Placing walls has become much more complicated after Architecture has begun to make use of datagroups in my opinion. The reason is that place wall has got a very user-unfriendly interface. While the division into single layer walls and compound walls probably makes sense, the devision into exterior and interior wall definitely doesn't make sense to me at all. It just makes things incredibly crowded. It would be much better to let the user define...

    GUI proposal #1 / Structural

This is the first of a couple of blog postings I have in mind, where I want to take up things which I find a bit annoying, and which I would like to have changed in future releases. Right now Structural Modeler uses 11 different icons for placing members based on profiles. In my opinion one icon would be enough, thus freeing a lot of space for productivity. Instead of Bentleys way of grouping members, we would very much like to use a different one...

CAD People - Do They Really Exist?

The band above tries to make it work for them in media. The film “Cat People” on the other hand explores the notion that we are, after all, fairly primitive and that beneath a thin surface of civilization we are nothing but crude animals – at least some of us. Below the soundtrack - watch it on Youtube - it's so nice you have to click twice! “ See these eyes so green... ” And yes - most of us are “green”...

The Unix, the Mac or the Android? or "Up "beep" creek with only a Pad"

I received very good comments on the Mac post before - thanks! There is of course interesting to follow if there will be readers for smartphones analogue to the AutoCAD WS for iPhone. Will there be readers for the other platforms too? Windows Phone and Android.... Perhaps! But now there is perhaps another item hotter for a CAD reader - the PAD! Note that there are not only iPads out there - almost every brand is trying to get a market share here....
