I would suggest taking a linear form and cut out side profiles and cores using cut solid by curves. Cut one core and copy the rest using copy feature. Manipulating linear forms is easy and flexible. If you want them in a library, turn 1 plank into a compound cell for easy placement. To manipulate it afterwards, drop the cell (keep only 3D). HTH  André

We don't have many projects using hollow core. If we had more projects requiring hollow core, I would create a library specifically for hollow core slabs. Eventually you would not have to create new slabs, just pick them out of the library. Unfortunately, every manufacturer has their own size and configuration of precast planks. So you would best keep it very general.

And as a architect.  The problem then becomes the lack of change.  When the hollow core changes shape, stretches, etc.  Sometimes this can be easy and sometimes not.

I did it by creating a curb round the shape of the slab.  then made a singular slab and "Cut stuff out.  I can stretch the length but just not the width.

We use a custom rectangular section to create a structural member. Attach family/part, make it longer then necessary, cut the voids and keyways with the cut solid tool. Now you can use structural manipulate and modify tools as required.

Extracting a shape is what I have done sometimes. But it's not perfect, as it is not parametric.

They should be different according to if you cut normal or parallel to the span direction. As a structural engineer this is important to me.

Now mine is not as fancy as you show but I do have a general way to create hollow core slabs that work for my sections.

I create a slab without patterning.  And include a linestyle with Circles.

One thing I'm really starting to miss is the possibility to use hollow core slabs in drawings. My preferred method would be to have them implemented as sections in a structural database (xml file).

But I'm open to alternative solutions, like parametric cells.

Any ideas?
