Okay folks
Our client requires our model for use in Navisworks, where they intend to sequence the build. They are asking for a notional grid of some kind which Navisworks can read and then chop the building (the brickwork for example) into parts/cubes tosequence and schedule the build.
I know little about Navisworks and have not come across any such feature in Bentley. Can anyone shed some light on this?
I have posted another post today regarding the creation of nwd files. as part of a Revit compatability post.
Our client is a leading contractor whom I fear is loosing patience with the incompatability of Bently with Autodesk products. If this is cannot be resloved it will be another goal for Autodesk and increase the pressure on users to adopt Revit.
Please help.

I have never heard of a 'notional grid'. I would suggest they will probably want to break up the model based on their WBS, so I would suggest making sure that the Navisworks file reads the Part/Family information, and setup Search Sets based on your geometry information..or you may have to set up your reference file setup to match how they want to sequence the file.
Thanks,
Shawn

Thanks for responding Shawn.
Just to be clear, WBS would refer to Works Build Sequence??
I don't know about Search Sets but I will look into this.
I hope I do not have to set-up the reference files differently or split the model up but I shall find out more about their requirements.
