Jomy,
I think you have to call bentley prof. services. Here in germany I know the bentley guys are "running around" and are talking that they can do everthing for 3D-city-models. But truly they have no tool for doing a simple 3D-model (level of detail 0 or 1) based on mass-data like cadastral maps. Bentley GC could be the answer.
So......

My intention is to create a 3D city model( similar to GoogleEarth 3D buildings) by capturing the roof tops and extruding it in microstation.

What I have done in the past is to build a DTM of all surface elements and then drape the roof outline onto that DTM.
I am not very familiar with Map. Does it have the ability to build a DTM and to drape graphics onto it?
No each building height is different and i'm using Bently Map...
Is the base at a fixed elevation and do you know it?
What software are you using?
Hi Friends,
I have a query regarding the process extrude. I have a roof of the building and the feature is captured as polygon. I need to extrude this polygon to the base of the building. The roof is slope type. When i tried to extrude, the top and bottom face looks similar in shape. I need bottom side as flat and top as slope.
Can anyone help me?
Regards,
J Simon
