Cells not filled in iDPR.

Hi,

I have point-cell feature in Oracle Spatial table. When posting the feature into DGN in Bentley Map, it's correctly created as partially filled cells. But if converted to idpr format, the fill is lost. But the fill is mandatory for this feature, because without the fill the cell cannot be read properly (displayed like plenty of lines).

What is a recommended solution?

  • Hi Martin,

thanks for your reaction. I solved the problem yesterady, just had not enough time to post it here.

The problem was a cell type defined for this XFM feature was set to standard, but it has to be set to shared (cell). Later I found it in known issues list: Standard cell are dropped to elements, shared cells are converted as cells.

Consequently it means we will have to maintain two separate XFM schemas: One for main project (shared cells are not allowed) and another for GWP and idpr files. Don't like it, but seems it the only way. I have to admit I am curious if there will be some release in future, that maybe will not support many different source formats, but will ensure full functionality similar to XFM for spatial DB without tens of conditions and exceptions :-(
