I'm in the middle of creating a connector schema that extracts data from a SDE database using the Geospatial Connector. The problem I have is that the SDE has a number of projects (potentially hundreds) so when I come to extract the data using ProjectWise I use a filter to only extract the data for one project at a time. based on a field in the Database (ProjectID).
When a user places a new feature I would like the ProjectID field to be automatically populated with the current Project ID so when the data is posted back to the database it will be with the relevant Project id.
I can't figure out the best way to do this. I looked at Initial Value but it seems to only work with static values, it would need to be dynamic, I don't think that creating a new schema for each new project would be right. Unless of course I'm missing something?
If anyone could point me in the right direction I would be very grateful.

You could potentially use initial values for this by setting the "Value Type" to expressionEvaluator and "Value" to System.Environment.GetEnvironmentVariable("MYPROJECTID") as shown in the following:
You could then set the MYPROJECTID environment variable in the workspace or in the users environment at the operating system level.
