I was able to export data from a Microstation design file to a shapefile in Bentley Map but could only select one level for the shapefile. If I checked another level box it would uncheck the previously selected level box and not let me check multiple boxes. If I had a shapefile for every level of data then I'd have 63 shapefiles and I don't want that. I thought I could create one shapefile and have multiple level data appear in the Arc legend thematically. Is the software set up to only allow one level at a time to be exported to a shapefile? Thanks.
A shapefile represents one layer of data from like geometries. Thus all the elements in a particular shapefile needs to be one of a point, linear, or polygon geometry. The shapefile also represents one layer of information, ie one for street centerline and one for curb line.
If you wish to select multiple layers, then instead of add a shapefile in the export, add a directory. Then you can select multiple levels. Of course you will get multiple shapefiles, but at least you will npt have to produce them one at a time.

A shapefile contains a single feature. You can export all of your features at one time by selecting Add Shapefile Directory from the right click menu of the Export node. If you have 100 features, the result will be 100 shapefiles.
Thank you very much Jerry.
