Add Tables and Fields to Project Database Structure in INPUT


In the Input application, you have access to some of the functions of Project Database Data Design, specifically, to add new tables or new fields to existing tables in your active project. This allows the user to quickly ‘tweak’ the database structure while doing data entry. Changes can then be recorded in the data template, all without leaving Input.

Adding a new Table in Input is done from the Tables menu. Selecting the Tables > New… option (or pressing Ctrl-N) will open the new Table Properties dialog:

These are the same Table Properties available in adding tables in Data Design.

Adding a new field to an existing table in Input is just as simple. From the Tables menu, when you select Add Field…, the Field Properties dialog opens:
