Model Problems!

Dear All,

I have attached a file, I am wondering why the "TPS-1_712-C03" pumps are not working? Is it automatically closed by the model due to overloading of the downstream pumpstation "TPS-2"?

Thanks & Regards,

June

  • June,

Wet Well TPS-2_712-C03 is getting filled by the other two areas at the top, so those pumps you are questioning are getting turned off.  Maybe you should set controls so that the others turn off and those come on at certain times or when the wet well is at a certain level.

  • TLFOSTER56,

So meaning, these lift stations cannot be operated together at the same time? What are the other reasons behind this situation? Why do the model/system behave that way?

    Thanks & Regards,

  • June,

The four pumps from wet well E2-LS-4_725-C03 and the three pumps from W-24_712-C05 are filling the wet well up quickly, so the pumps you are questioning are getting turned off.  The wet well is getting a warning that it is flooded and full.  There is more flow coming from the wet well at the very top of the network than would come from the pumps that are getting turned off.  The wet well does not appear to empty as fast as it is filling up.  As I suggested yesterday, if you want all the pumps to work in this simulation, you might want to add controls to the pumps.
