Argument Exception: Adding Duplicate

Hello,

Im using SewerGEMS V8i SS4 08.11.04.54 on Windows 7. In target model I imported submodel with some catchments and everything works fine. But when I import second submodel with the rest of the catchment, or even draw catchment in  target model and try to open it after closing i get the following message: "Argument Exception: Adding Duplicate " . I try to update labels with Water Objects.NET but it didt work for me.What could cause problems and what to do?

  • Hello Matija,

This issue may be related to the database. Try the following steps to see if it helps. First, close the model but leave SewerGEMS open. Next, go to Tools > Database Utilities > Compact Database. Select the database file, and when prompted choose the option to purge database to save space. Once completed, see if the issue still occurs.

If so, try moving just the .stsw and .stsw.sqlite file to a new folder location. Then open the model from the new location. If there is an issue with one of the supporting files, this process can allow you to open and use the model.

If that doesn't help, we will likely need to see a copy of the model, as well as the steps to reproduce the issue. There are two options for sharing your model files on BE Communities. If you would like the files to be visible to other members, compress the files into a zip file and upload them as an attachment using the ‘Advanced Reply editor’ before posting. If your data is confidential, you can follow the instructions in the link below to send it to us via Bentley Sharefile. Files uploaded to Sharefile can only be viewed by Bentley.

If you upload the file to Sharefile, please post here with the name of the file so that we know it is available.

  • Thank you Scott.
When I move .stsw and stsw.sqlite everything works fine. Can you tell me whether this will have an effect on the model? Because I separated these documents.
  • Hello Matija,

It will not effect the model. The other items are mainly report and backup files. Once you compute and save, new items supporting files will be created. The .stsw and .stsw.sqlite files are the main files to have. If you have those, you basically have everything you need.
