Problem matching Total Demand and Totalizing Flow meter

Dear all,

My problem is simple (to explain, and I guess to solve but I can't find out how...). I found it in a complex model, I extracted the data to a very simple one (1 reservoir, 1 pipe, 1 junction) and it remains the same. Conditions are as follow, data rounded for example:

- Junction demand : 31,000 m3/d

- Pattern average : 1

- Pattern points : 24

- Simulation duration 24h.

- Totalizing Flowmeter result : 30,000 m3/d

Could anyone explain where is my problem, why does the totalizing flowmeter volume doesn't match my total demand?

Please let me know if you need more input from me, I will answer asap.

Waiting for your answers, thanks a lot.

David

  • Hi Scott,

    Thanks for the link.

As you said, helpful for quick total demand.

For partial demand after tank from option 2, I can set up a one point pump (no pump now), it shall match demand and give me the result. After quick test, it works. Not very convenient, but still this is helpful waiting for totalizing flowmeter tool to be ok in my version.

Thanks a lot for your help,
    Regards,
    David
  • Hello David,

Hopefully that workaround can help for the time being. If you can at least to build 08.11.04.58, the patch that Mark mentioned should be able to resolve the totalizing flow meter issue. Optimally, I would try to get the latest release, if possible.

    Regards,
    Scott
