watergems automatically result

hi everyone

i want to export watergems result ( watergems output flex table) automatically.

for example after scada computation and its automatic run, i want to see its result in an Access table. can any one help me?

it is very impotent for have best use of watergems scada ability.

  • Are you wanting to view your model results in your SCADA HMI via an OPC connection? If so, check out the SCADA Results Publishing feature in SCADAConnect Simulator:

SCADAConnect Simulator for WaterGEMS V8i SELECTseries 6

If you want to simply export model results to an external source, there are a few options. First, a pretty flexible Excel export option is available (starting with SELECTSeries 6) -

Can I easily export my results to an Excel spreadsheet?

Or, you can set up a Modelbuilder Connection to any number of different data source types and Sync Out to send the data to a file such as a spreadsheet or Access Database. More on Modelbuilder here:

  • thanks jesse for your reply.
1 - I have scada conection and some real data( presser in some junction and flow in some pipe) . but i don't have opc connection.
I set computation option to scada connect simulation and set simulation mode to Live (auto compute).
in model builder need to sync out after computation and is by user hand and not automatically.
i want to have an exell or acces file that update after each computation automatically.

2- in darwin calibrator we can change demand for each junction independent of others to get best result from calibration.
but in scada simulation mode we can only set, divide, add,...some large selection set or whole model junctions.
Is there any way to get best and exact result from scada simulation mode?

3- I import filed data from scada conection in darwin calibrator and then i have some real observed data . i want to know the rather exact pressure in another junctions and darwin calibrator is good for my target.
but due to the change in observed data after some minutes my model changed. i want to compute model and see new result automatically not by user hand. such as scada simulation that have auto compute interval.
    can i do that?

  • 1 - what you are describing sounds exactly like the SCADA Results Publishing feature mentioned previously. Normally you would have an OPC connection to be able to do this. With a Modelbuilder connection, it would only take one button click (Sync Out). Can you explain further what you will be doing with this "live" updated Excel/Access file? Since you're using Live Auto Compute mode in SCADAConnect Simulator, that would seem to indicate that you have a connection to a server or other "live" SCADA system.

2 - Are you referring to the "Adjustments" dialog in SCADAConnect Simulator? The intent of this screen is to give a water system Operator a quick way to make an adjustment to an existing, calibrated model to check how the model responds. For example in the event of a day that experiences very large usage, the Operator may want to check how the system will perform. They can simply open SCADAConnect simulator (without needing in-depth knowledge of WaterGEMS) pick the scenario, time/duration, set up control overrides to match the current conditions, set up the demand Adjustments to say, multiply the existing demands to match the current conditions, then compute and open graphs to view the response, all within SCADAConnect Simulator.

Are you saying that an Operator in your case may want to only adjust the demand of a single element and you wish to see an option to select by label instead of selection set for the Scope? If this doesn't help, can you explain what you are trying to use SCADAConnect for, so we might suggest the best approach for you?

3 - Calibrating the model is not something that you would do every few minutes. You would import some historical observed data as field data snapshots, then perform a calibration study. I'm having difficulty understanding why you would want to repeatedly run Darwin with updated live SCADA data. Please elaborate on what you ultimately need to do with the model.
