Simulating intermittent water supply

Question

I am working on a project with intermittent water supply on 3hour/day and thrice a week basis. The study area is divided into several blocks(small area), while there is supply in one block the other blocks are empty.The water flows from first consumer point to the last consumer point for every block and involves time as the pressure builds up gradually and not instantly . 
 kindly guide me how the simulation can be done on WaterGEMS.

The WaterGEMS solver is based on pipe flowing full. If you are only supplying water 3 hours per day, then the pipes are generally not full and the time to fill and drain the pipes is significant. 
 
You are much better trying to model this using SewerGEMS as it can account for filling and draining and partly full pipes. 
 
You would place an inflow at the source and model the users as outfalls, usually at the elevation of their rooftop tanks. 
 
Try this approach on a small part of the system to test the work flow before trying to run a big model.
