Totalizing Flow Meter - Inactive Elements

I am working with Totalizing Flow Meters created based on a selection of elements. If any one of the elements is inactive, the summary statistics for Net Volume, Negative Volume, and Total Volume do not get calculated, and show up as (N/A). This makes the flow meters much less useful for checking the results and calibration of a model run. I would expect inactive elements to simply contribute 0 volume to all categories, or show as N/A in the detail list but not interfere with the calculation of totals.

I know that I can find each inactive element and remove it from the meter, but this is impractical for several reasons. The main reason is that I want to have a stable list of flow meters saved for common investigations, and individual elements may get switched between active an inactive for different model runs and experiments. It would be impractical to re-create the flow meters every time a status is changed.

Is this something that could get fixed in a patch?

I am using WaterGEMS SELECTSeries 6, 08.11.06.114 32-bit, with the WaterProductsPatch_08.11.06.113_20160407 patch.
