Hi,
Even when I am allocating total demand volume as zero and running the EPS, why does it show some demand in the results?
Thanks,
Dina
Hello Dina,
If you have zero demands in the system, but still you can see minor flow through some pipes, which we call calculation noise or ghost flow. Which is explained in the wiki below.
http://communities.bentley.com/products/hydraulics___hydrology/w/hydraulics_and_hydrology__wiki/17518.i-defined-a-network-that-should-have-no-flow-in-certain-pipes-and-after-i-run-my-model-it-shows-a-flow-of-0-0003-ls-0-0003-ls-with-flow-arrows-on-these-pipe-why-is-this
Or when you have let’s say a tank in the model, so with zero demands, the flow will be supplied to the tank unless its 100% fill.
Though you shouldn’t see any “flow demanded” value in the calculation summary.
I this doesn’t help you then, where do you see the demand in the results exactly?
