Lisence Renewal

As per our local representative our lisence isnt cut down, but on the lisence management tool, it show expired/disabled. 

also they send to our company a link to follow but i couldnt get through.

Obtain my updated lisence before existing license expires:

still no luck in re activating our license and i cant do simulation due to expired/disabled lisence.

    From looking up your account's license, I see that you own WaterGEMS 5000 pipes and the license mode is Non-SELECT. In this case, the license must be checked out in order to activate. I see that no WaterGEMS license is currently checked out. Please follow the steps in the below wiki article to check out the license:

    Hydraulics and Hydrology product licensing (activation)  (see section "Non-SELECT Licenses  - Check In/Check Out")

    Thank you a lot, now i can work again in my hydraulics, but i think this was not done before when we activate our lisence? is there another way to do this? i dont see the date before?
  • Hi Renald,

    I'm not quite sure what you mean by "I don't see the date before".

    Depending on your WaterGEMS versions, you will have had a 7 day or 30 day initial grace period before activation is required. So, it is possible that it appeared to be working before due to this grace period.

    Otherwise, it may be possible that your company previously had a SELECT subscription in which case checking out the license was not required. If the SELECT coverage was dropped, that would change your license mode to Non-SELECT, requiring check-out. This is sometimes referred to as a "node-locked" license.

  • i remember after the trial period that we had, the BSPH gave us a guide to activate our lisence and i remember i had use the product activation wizard and had selected the "SELECT subscriber activating against a hosted (Bentley) SELECTserver" this.

    is this mode can still be used?

  • As a Non-SELECT license, the "SELECT Subscriber..." option in the activation wizard would not be able to activate the license.

    You may have been a SELECT subscriber in the past and are now Non-SELECT. If you are unsure if this is correct or not, please contact your Bentley Account Manager (sales representative)

    With the license checked out, you should now be able to use WaterGEMS. As you can read from the articles in our wiki, if you need to use the license on another computer, you can check it back in on the first computer, then check it out again on the other computer.
