  • Hello Ganesh,

I assume that you will be using WaterGEMS or WaterCAD for this. I would suggest going through the Quick Start Lessons that come with the program first. This will give you a basic idea of what is involved with setting up a model. You can also look at the sample models that come with the program. Those are typically found in the installation folder on your computer at C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\WaterGEMS\Samples. These are models that are already set up and can help get an idea of the capability of the program.

Next, you would need to decide what goes into building your network. If there are pumps, you will need to make sure you have the pump definition for that pump. You will need to know elevations and demands, as well as information on your sources (reservoirs or tanks). When you build your model, you can do so manually by simply laying out elements or use ModelBuilder to help create the model.

For additional information, including a link to our LearnServer, you can to go this link: WaterGEMS/WaterCAD New User Resource Guide.

If you have more specific questions on creating the model, please let us know.

    Regards,

    Scott
