SewerGems Warning

I am using Sewer Gems. During validation warning error comes "Length (3.0m) is less than (3.0m) check if length value is correct". I presume this is due to pipe lenghts are small than 3m. To overcom this warning I have update length to 3m under the column (Length user defined) but did not resolved this.

Please let me know what should be done to ovrcome this error

  • Hello Amanagi,

To remedy this, try the following.

Make sure that the Length value is truly 3.0 meters. There may be a display precision error where the true value is 2.99998 and this is rounding to 3.0 but is still technically less than 3.

To check this, right click on the Pipe Length in the Pipe Properties and click Units and Formatting.

Change the Display Precision to something like 7 and see what the true decimal value of the Length.

Let me know if this helps.

  • Hello Amanagi,

After a closer look, the exact value where this User Notification is prompting is at 3.048 meters which is converted to 10.000 ft. Anything higher than 3.048 m will not prompt that User Notification. However, this is just a warning. The model is still computing with a value under 3.048 m.

Also, take a look at Tools > Options > Project tab. Here you will see a "Round Pipe length to nearest length" field. Make sure this is set to zero.
