WaterGEM frequently stops working

When I work using WaterGEM, it often stops working and a dialog box pops up so that I can write what I was doing right before it stopped working and send the message to Bentley.  This happens often - every 20-30 min. I did not have this experience with WaterCAD.  Is there anything I can do to stop this from happening? It has been slowing my work speed.

The model often stops working when:

- adding a new elements to graphs, especially junctions

-adding and deleting elements from the model.

I'd appreciate your feedback.

Thank you.

Yoko

  • Hello Yoko,

There are a couple of things that you can try to resolve this. First, try compacting the database by going to Tools > Database Utilities > Compact Database. If that doesn't help, close the model and browse to where the model is saved. Create a new folder and model just the .wtg and .wtg.sqlite files to the new folder. Open the model from there and see if that helps at all.

If not, could you provide the details of the error message? There is a button in the lower left that will open the details of the message.

  • Yoko,

We were able to view the crash logs that you had submitted. It looks like you're encountering a few different errors. If Scott's suggestions don't work, it may also help for you to provide a copy of the model. You can do this securely using the process in the below link:
