After drafting storm water network in StormCAD; is there tool able to split the project into catchments and assign those catchments to the nodes where it does drain into according to the topo? if yes; please elaborate using that tool. I am asking that due to the large project and minimize the time of drafting the catchments manually.
Thanks,
You can draft the catchments in AutoCAD integrated version of StormCAD or draft catchments in AutoCAD & import into StormCAD. You can import the multiple catchment areas from the autocad drawing using the tool Modelbuilder. Here is the support solution on Modelbuilder. http://communities.bentley.com/products/hydraulics___hydrology/w/hydraulics_and_hydrology__wiki/3070.importing-a-cad-drawing-using-modelbuilder-tn For assigning the outflow elements to the catchments, please have a look at this support solution. http://communities.bentley.com/products/hydraulics___hydrology/w/hydraulics_and_hydrology__wiki/17529.is-there-any-automatic-method-for-input-tc-or-assign-the-outflow-element-to-the-catchment-area-to-save-time

Mohammad, The best tool for associating manholes to catchments as their outflow element is currently ModelBuilder. I have updated the link that Sushma posted above with steps for how you can do this: communities.bentley.com/.../17529.is-there-any-automatic-method-for-input-tc-or-assign-the-outflow-element-to-the-catchment-area-to-save-time Please see the last section titled "Option for updating the Outflow elements" I filed an enhancement for a feature that automatically associates catchments to their nearest outflow element to be considered for future versions of the software. The enhancement number is 186940. Regards, Mark
