  • Hello Jonah,

Can you elaborate on the type of analysis you need to do on a wastewater treatment plant? (what do you need the model to tell you?)

SewerGEMS and SewerCAD can generally do a pretty good job at modeling the basic hydraulics of the treatment plant. See below related forum discussion:

  • Hi Jesse,

Thank you for your quick response but apparently what I am looking for is a process simulation software tool for designing new, testing, optimize or upgrading existing municipal/urban, industrial wastewater treatment plant and or plant of all types. The core is biological model for activated sludge wastewater (e.g. water chemistry models for calculation of pH, mass transfer models for oxygen modelling and other gas-liquid interactions).

Is there any modeling tool that Bentley offers? or equivalent.

  • Hi Jonah,

Thanks for your interest. Bentley doesn't have a modeling tool for that kind of analysis right now, but we will consider it for future.

There are several good commercial products out there though. For example I know that BioWin is frequently used for wastewater plant analysis - you may want to see if that suits your needs: envirosim.com/.../biowin
