Fire Flow and Hydrants

Question

Hey all, 
 I'm pretty new to WaterCad and I am having some issues with the fire flow and hydrants in the model I'm currently working on. I set up my system (with hydrants). In the Alternatives window I created a fire flow alternative (including a velocity upper limit as well as needed fire flow, fire flow upper limit, and pressure constraints). But for some reason when I run the model the fire flows are not being added to the system. When I look at the flow coming out of my reservoir the only flow coming out is the base demand that I applied to all my junctions. 
 I'm not sure what I did wrong but I think it either has something to do with my hydrants or the way I set up my fire flow. Does anyone have an suggestions as to how I can fix this?

Are you doing a fire flow analysis where WaterCAD steps through each selected element one by one to determine the fire flow from each or are you just trying to find the free discharge for a single hydrant? If it is the former, follow Terry's link and read the help for fire flow analysis. If it is the later, change the hydrant status to Open and specify an emitter coefficient.
