coefficients in calculation options in sewerGems

Hi,

I have some questions about calculation option.

1.what does maximum NR weighting coefficient we can consider in model?

in model for running the project i insert NR weighting coefficient 1.5~2. otherwise model doesn't run.

what's your opinion, for other Coefficients for example calculation time step, lpi coefficient, nr iterations, relaxation weighting coefficient, and computation distance? what range does we consider is better in my project with 900 million liters sewerage in a day ?

2.what difference transition start and warm start?

3.what best way for insert loss in manhole and conduit?

  • Hello Amir,

    1. You can consider the value of NR weighting coefficient between 0.6 to 0.99. Value of NR weighting coefficient 1.5~2 is not valid.
Please search by phrase “Troubleshooting DynamicWave Model Calculations” in the help documentation, if you are having trouble in running the model or getting a better results.
In this section, you will find different ways to get your model balanced with these coefficients and also information about values to be used.

    2. Please go through the forum discussion below about warm start and transient start.

    3. Losses in manholes and conduits can be calculated using different methods, please see the properties of manhole and conduit to enter the loss information.
Or you can enter the loss in the Headloss alternative.
