How to import contour data in storm cad?

Hello Deepraj,

You can import the contour data to update the elevations of the elements in the model, using the tool - TRex. (Tools>TRex)
The contour data can be imported using one of the file formats like DXF point, DXF contour, LandXML , shapefile etc.
Please make sure that you are specifying the same units as you have in the model.

Thanks for the advise.

But while importing i am getting some error like "All elements in the model fall outside the scope of DEM" how do i solve this error?

It would be really help full if u would suggest me some link or any video where  i can get the detail steps to be followed while importing the contour data.

Make sure that the units are correct for the data you are loading.

If it is, the issue may be the spatial orientation of the DXF file. Try loading the DXF file as a background file. This will show the location of the DXF file in relation to the model file. If they are far apart, that means that the X:Y coordinates for the model and the DXF file are not the same. If that is the case, you will want to adjust the spatial data for the DXF file so that it matches that of the model.

Thanks for the reply scott. I tired changing the units but i am still facing the same problem.

I am attaching the file which i want to open in Stormcad so that u can help me out with this issue and guide me for the changes to be done.The file is in DWG format (Autocad civil3d)

Hello Deepraj,

It seems like you have created a block of all the conduits together, please explode all the contours, so that can be selected separately.
Then after you should be able to import the elevations using this contour dxf file with the help of TRex tool.
