Hello colleagues,
I had a question.I am building a model of some water supply expansion works for my home area, from scratch.I managed to import the Google earth image of the project area as a background image and digitized the network in WaterGEMS. How can I import the elevation data to link to the nodes .Am not sure whether i can use the DEM.
Thanks
Simon
Hi Simon, The Civil products can create a terrain model from Google Earth data. If you have access to - say InRoads or Power Civil - then you could create the terrain model using that product, as detailed here: communities.bentley.com/.../create-an-inroads-dtm-from-google-earth This will create a .dtm file, which TRex in WaterGEMS can read, if you choose the Bentley DTM File option as the source data.
