Converting older versions of StormCad to more current versions

Currently, converting StormCad SELECTseries 3 (08.11.03.84) to either SELECTseries 5 or 6. Popup window stated "This model contains one or more User-defined formulas-fields that may need to be manually reviewed since they may have been affected by schema-updates introduced in this version of the software."  Is there something that is loss in the conversion that would tabulate calculations output differently.

In addition, attempted to open files in Projectwise (08.11.11.605) and using SELECTseries 5, the message window stated the following:

Projectwise  prompt to open the files  to access is not an option directly thru StormCad  (08.11.03.113) vs. the explorer (08.11.11.605) similar to the below example for Pondpack (08.11.01.56) which is compatible.

Do you have any workarounds or insight for the various versions to be compatible without losing valid data and output?

  • Regarding opening files in ProjectWise - it's possible that the StormCAD model was not properly saved into Projectwise as a Link Set. The model needs to be saved to ProjectWise from within StormCAD in order to make the association necessary for the program to recognize both the .STSW and the .STSW.SQLITE files when opening it. The following wiki article has more information on that:

Models not opening properly from ProjectWise when manually uploaded via drag / drop

ProjectWise integration works a bit differently in the latest version of StormCAD vs. PondPack. For more information on how to integrate with ProjectWise, see the below article:
