Hi,
While modelling a foul system (gravity + pressure subnetworks) with 2 outfalls, i have selected implicit dynamics solver as per the discussion i cam across in this forum.
The calculation tab of the solver asks for infiltration method and SWMM hydrologic increment. Also need to know the inlet details.
The network is taking time for validation (calculation status-not responding)
How can I proceed with this?
Thanks,
Aruna
Hello Aruna,
Here is the technote which helps in selecting the solver for modeling in SewerGEMS.

Regarding the infiltration method & SWMM hydrologic increment , these are the default values for the solver, if you want you can change the infiltration method & the Hydrologic increment. Please see information at the bottom of the property grid by selecting eg. Default infiltration method.
Inlet options defines the active components for the combination inlet, whether to consider only grate or curb or the combination, both for in sag type or on grade type.
If the network is taking time for calculation, please take a look at “Troubleshooting DynamicWave Model Calculation” in the help documentation. Go to search tab & type the phrase.
If that doesn't help, we will need to see the model files. There are two options for sharing your model files on BE Communities. If you would like the files to be visible to other members, compress the files into a zip file and upload them as an attachment using the ‘Advanced Reply editor’ before posting. If your data is confidential, you can follow the instructions in the link below to send it to us via Bentley Sharefile. Files uploaded to Sharefile can only be viewed by Bentley.

If you upload the model files to Sharefile, please post a message here so we know they are available.

Hi Sushma,
Sorry for the late response.
When i modelled gravity networks alone, i could use as many outfalls as required. The model is running fine in gravity now.
All other difficulties got eliminated then. Used GVF convex solver.
Well, if i model the pressure subnetworks as well new issues might arise.
As of now, things are good.
