Product(s): WaterGEMS, WaterCAD, HAMMER, SewerGEMS, SewerCAD, StormCAD, CivilStorm, PondPack
Version(s): CONNECT Edition, V8i
Area: Output and Reporting

Problem Description

Element symbology, such as color coding and annotations, are not displayed correctly in the drawing pane.

The FlexTable, element properties, and annotations data does not match.

Steps to Resolve

Try the following troubleshooting steps in the order they are listed.

1. Synchronize the drawing

A. Go to File > Tools > Database Utilities > Synchronize Drawing (in CONNECT Edition) or Tools > Database > Utilities > Synchronize Drawing.

B. When asked if you wish to synchronize the drawing now select "Yes". If asked to save the file before synchronizing do so.

2. Compact the database

A. Go to File > Tools > Database Utilities > Compact Database (in CONNECT Edition) or Tools > Database > Utilities > Compact Database.

B. Select the database file and, when prompted, choose the option to purge file to save space.

3. Move the wtg.sqlite and .wtg model files (stsw.sqlite and .stsw files for storm and sewer products) to a new folder and open the model from there. Or, try deleting the .dwh file, then reopen the model.

4. If you are using the GIS drawing style, then try switching to CAD.

5. Check the Options dialog (See section "Options button" in this article to locate icon to open the dialog):

  • Check your color settings
  • Try toggling "Use accelerated redraw"

6. Download and install the latest graphics driver from the manufacturer's website.

7. On rare cases, one of the supporting files can become corrupted. In a case like this, close the model and browse to where the model files are saved. Create a new folder and copy just the starter file and database file (.wtg and .wtg.sqlite for Water products, .stsw and .stsw.sqlite files for Storm/Sewer products) into the new folder. Then open the model from the new location.
