New activation problem in Bentley Map PowerView

Hi

I've just solved a problem with activating a license to Bentley Map PowerView. I appreciate the help I got from this forum.

Now i'm run into problems with activating a license to Bentley Map PowerView at one of our customers.

The problem is the same. After 12-13 minutes of use a message box pops up in Bentley Map PowerView telling that the program will shutdown because the license was not activated. In the License Management window there is a green check mark telling that it is activated with success but it is not... 

I have turned on the debugging options in the License Management tool, so I will upload it at file secure webpage.

The information in the log file is not the same as my previous problem and the solution to that problem does not work here.

Hope that you can figure out this one too...

  • The log only captured five seconds of diagnostic data (i.e. 11:48:18 - 11:48:23). Please keep error logging enabled while you reproduce the problem in Bentley Map PowerView. Afterwards, open the License Management Tool, and select Send Logs Now to send any outstanding unreported usage. This will determine whether PowerView is even logging usage. Please post here when a new license debug log has been uploaded via Communities Secure File Upload.

    You are right, but the program was on for about 15 minutes! It's very strange but facts..
    After several attempts of unistallation and reinstallation I discovered that it was necessary to export some registry keys to get a product line with Bentley Map PowerView in the license management window at our customers computer. I know it sounds very strange but after all that I could do the trick I mentioned in the previous post.

    When I have done the reinstallation I was very happy to see that the heartbeats began succesfully every minute in the logfile. Everything looks fine (activation code, computer name and customer ID) and hope it keeps going like that.

    I think it's something about user rights to the registry database but I'm not sure.

    Hope you can fix the whole licensing issues in Bentley Map PowerView, we are using a lot of time on this.
