In MicroStation V8i an enhancement was made for setting the global origin (GO=) and also a change in how the current origin is reported.

With regards to changing the origin in MicroStation V8i, when you key-in “GO=” or “Active Origin”…
You get a Global Origin dialog
There are two modes:
Monument Point (as shown above)
AND
Center (as shown below)
