Make your Reality Models smarter with MicroStation CONNECT Edition Update 2

In MicroStation CONNECT Edition Update 2 we worked to make our Reality Model smarter and more useful

We started by introducing a new dialog for managing Reality Mesh attachments. All the tools, previously accessible only by key-ins, can now be started using their own button, from this new dialog.

We are also introducing the all new Reality Mesh Classification Tools, which add “Spatial Classification” to our Reality Models.

Spatial Classification represents the concept of using engineering or GIS data to spatially classify a reality model into a discrete set of volumes that represent those objects.

The Reality Mesh classifiers allow to create a bi-directional link between the classification data and the reality model.

The Reality Mesh Classification tools have been received with great enthusiasm from our users, here are some initial reactions from MicroStation users who have been evaluating the new Reality Mesh Tools:

“The new Reality Mesh and Classification Tools played a significant role in IMT winning a bid for a large and challenging piping project in North Mexico, which will involve more than 200,000 photos for building its Reality Model.  - Aurelio Nez, Managing Director, IMT Latina, Mexico”

The Reality Mesh tools are now accessible from the Reality Mesh Attachment dialog, in the Attach Tools.

If you want to know more about the new Reality Classification tools, why not watching the introductory video in the welcome page?
