I know about the user preference setting to "Disable Delete Element Tool on Selected Rasters"
Are there settings to disable Move and Copy on raster files as well? (And if not, why?)
We have users working on wiring drawings and inadvertantly moving the raster file when zoomed in on the drawing. And possibly not even seeing any part of the raster file.
After doing more work and looking at a part of the drawing with raster they realize the raster has been moved. This results in multiple undo's losing work that has been done in order to get the raster file back to the precise location that it should be.
A setting to "Disable ALL Element Tools on Selected Rasters" would be a welcome addition.
Thanks
Hi,
as far as I know there is no such setting in MicroStation. But you can reach a similar functionality if you place rasters to locked level. The locked level allows you to add elemenets, but not to modify or delete, so if there will be a dedicated "raster default level", without changing level setting nobody will be able to change rasters accidentaly.

Jan,
That's a great work around. We do have our rasters on a dedicated level so that idea would work.
Just did a little experiment and that works for Move, but not Copy. Copy will still make a copy of the raster.
But if a copy is made by mistake it's easy enough to just detach the duplicate attachment.
Thanks,
Harold
