He didn't mention that he was referencing the file, but actually deleting the stuff. I do agree with you though.
I don't know a any command that can do what you are looking for. I guess what I would do is create a new file, and then reference the file shown into the new file. Then do a Place Fence>Element>>Void Clip for one of the SAVE areas. Then Delete FencesContents>Void Clip. This will save that area. You will have to repeat in a new file for all the saved areas. And then once for the Delete area, but will choose Fence>Clip. Then go the file shown, and delete everything, and then reference in all the new files, then merge to master. Hope that makes sense, and hopefully there is an easier way via macros.

The attached file shows an area that I am trying to delete out. I need to select by "flood-locate interior shapes", similar to how the Hatch Area works. I also want it to "clip" any lines that overhang the outside boundary, similar to the Fence option. Is there a way that I can accomplish this?
