For example, if a .pset file is open, and one of the design files is open in MicroStation and data is added to the open file - a preview in Print Organizer may not show the new geometry.  A common practice is to perform an “Update from design file” in the Advanced tab, but the geometry will still not show in the preview.  Is this a Works As Designed?

Because Print Organizer uses a worker process (second instance of MicroStation in the background), it will only display the elements that are stored in the design file, and not in memory.

If you save the file prior to kicking off a preview, Print Organizer detects that the active file is the same one loaded into the worker process, and will unload the file from the worker and reload it -- thus picking up the latest changes.   If the file is large, this can take a significant amount of time.  If auto-save is enabled, and Print Organizer is continually forced to unload and reload the file from the worker process, performance will suffer.

For this reason we do not recommend placing the active design file in the Print Organizer set.
