\Buttons, \Fkeys, \MicroStation and \PowerDraft.
I uninstalled/re-installed and did not copy in my .upf and now it's working. The projects, fkeymenu and btnmenu that I copied in from MS seem to be working. The custom toolbox I use in MS must have some tools in it that PD doesn't support. I can create a new on in PD - I was just trying to avoid this step. Sometime soon I'm going to have to get a couple of users running on PD but I've never used it before. I'll be back if I have any more problems.
What folders do you have under C:\ProgramData\Bentley\PowerDraft V8i\WorkSpace\interfaces\
Here is the debug file. I don't know what I should be looking for.
Have you tried doing a draft -debug (see the MSDebug File TechNote and change MicroStation to PowerDraft and ustation to draft)? That might point out a configuration variable assignment that may not be correct for your particular installation/configuration.
I removed any non-default .upf files, but still the same problem. I can't access the defaults, nor can I create a new one from the file open menu.
I do not believe you should mix UPF file between PD and MicroStation. And some of PD points to different folders than MicroStation. Generally, it is in the interfaces portion of the workspace.
If you keep these separated, you should not have an issue.
We have PD licenses, but I've never used it. I just installed the SS2 version using the default locations. Then I copied my MS workspace to replace the default PD workspace to get my projects and other customizations available. The problem is when I start PD, in the File Open dialog, I can't select an Interface, nor can I create a new one. There are none listed, either. I copied my .upf file into the "prefs" folder for PD, but it is not listed in the dialog. When I try to create a new one, I get an error message saying "Unable to create user interface directory....". Win 7 computer. Have never had this problem with MS.
