Connect - textures lost when assigning materials.

Using models created in V8i

Assign or apply material to an object and all textures in the model are lost. Only way to resolve is to close and open file again.

In the worst case, performing this action loses all material assignments, permanently.

We are now using update1 10.01.00.13. The same occurs in 10.0.0.30

While watching your video I noticed in the Message Center that you selected a cell in a reference. That may be the problem.

just coincidence Ron, If i select independent objects the same occurs. Also, selecting the same in V8i, does not produce this issue.

Hi Duncan,
in V8i in menu bar Workspace/Configuration/Rendering/Images you see all paths /material pallettes , pattern and.../where from your material are, of course if you are in Connect and in Connect your paths for materials are not set ,Connect has no idea about your materials and then it looks like lost , you have some possibilities so you can set or better add path for your material and I hope all will work or make from your V8i .dgn to .dgnlib and add new dgnlib file to system/dgnlib files in Connect it has to work too
/if you are not comfortable with variables I hope somebody from Bentley support will explain this method exact/
