Simple Rendering Technique for a roadway designer

I work as a roadway designer and we don't have anyone on staff that does visualization so I figured I would try and dig into it on my own time to pretty up some of my 3D Roadway models created with InRoads.  So I have went through a variety of tutorials and they all seem to be centered on the idea of having a single focal point like a building.  I have defined/applied Materials for my whole project which is just the 3D components displayed from the Roadway Designer in InRoads.  I setup lighting in the Lighting Manager.

This whole process to take my rainbow of colored components to realistic shapes took me a handful of minutes (once I figured it out) and with the Inroads Drive Roadway Dialog I can zip down one of my roads at a set speed and its awesome!

How can I do a  Luxology Rendering along this "drive roadway" path?  I tried messing with the record button in the animation toolbar.  I also tried making a 3D Element along the path I wanted to follow and tried to setup a floating point path to render along, but I can't get it to work.  I just want a really simple process I can redo at the end of a project or concept.

I really appreciate any help or links you can point me to! The attached file is just from a screen capture gif freeware.
