Problem

I have a file that contains text fields displaying the area of elements and the length of elements. Is it possible to change or drop these fields to regular text?

Solution

There are a couple of options available to convert the text in a text field into plain text.

Option One

The first would be to cut+paste the text field.

• edit the text using the word processor
• select the text defined by the text field
• cut or copy this text field
• paste this at the same spot in the word processor
• accept by a single click in the view

Option Two

An option has been included with the Drop Element tool called Complex.

When this option is selected you should be able to drop a single or multiple text fields to plain text.

The grey background of the field should disappear when the text has been dropped.
