Problem
Numbering in DOC does not appear when DOC is linked, embedded or pasted
as a picture.

Solution
Numbering is a Document Property, and therefore should be applied as a style before any other work is done on the file. In cases
where the numbering displays in the DOC, but not when pasted using the PasteOLE dialog, the numbering was not placed as a style an
d incorrectly edited after placement. In these cases the user has two options. One, using the Paste Special options, choose Text
to Design File. Two, recreate the DOC by first applying the numbering schema as a Document Property.
